I've noticed that my poems range from Emotional highs to the Lowest of lows depending on my Mood. But I'm in good company. David, the shepherd, The king, The poet could begin a psalm in Despair and in just a few verses End in explosive praise. Actually, sometimes it's the Writing process itself that helps me to Sort things out and change my Perspective. And so if a poem of mine is a real Downer, be assured that a more Hopeful one will follow. And if I'm on cloud nine one day, on The next I'll be back down to earth. (Psalm 69 is an example of despair to praise.) |
