I take note of license plates. Their message indicates what is Important to the owner. My all time favorite is JOSH1-5. My dear friend's dad came up with the Design to commemorate the Bible verse That gave him courage during World War II. "We were under attack," Reenie's dad Explained, "and the shells were falling all Around us. The soldier right next to Me was blown apart. As I furiously dug a Foxhole with my little shovel, God spoke to Me. 'As I was with Moses, so will I be with You. I will never leave you nor forsake you.'" After her dad died, Reen claimed the License plate as her own, and for 31 years She switched it from car to car, a quiet Message of hope to those who followed her. Last week she discovered the plate was Gone. "Who would have stolen it?" I asked. "Who knows?" she said, "Perhaps Someone named Josh." The plate can't be replaced; But neither can the message. As we go through our own hard Foxhole days, God is in the trenches with Us. We're never forsaken. We're never for a moment alone. |

When I haven't learned to wait patiently,
God gives me another chance to try. Jesus knew that every day our
Souls would be bombarded with Worry, weariness and despair, Especially at such a time as this. It's why He offers us a continuous Supply of peace, rest and joy. When I taught preschool, every child wanted
To be first in line. When we played "Follow the Leader" the Student at the end couldn't wait for his Turn to be in front. It takes humility to follow the one in Charge, especially when I think I know Better. Jesus told His disciples, "Follow Me." * I'm His disciple. Am I willing to obey? Am I willing to trust Him in the dark? Am I willing to be patient when I seem to Come to a standstill? Do I recognize that waiting is following too? Do I say, "Against my better judgement, I will...?" If I run ahead of my Leader like Peter did in the Garden when he lopped off the man's ear, I may regret my haste like he did. I may need to beg Jesus to repair the Damage. *Matthew 4:19 Luke 22:50 "The Lord...leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble His way." (Psalm 25:9) My appointment was at 10:30, and I
Was sure I knew the location, until I couldn't find it. Since I had loaned my cell phone to my Neighbor I couldn't call for directions. (And I haven't succumbed to getting a GPS.) Trying not to panic I pulled up to a Medical facility to ask for help. I approached a man who was walking out The door. His white hair matched his mask. "Can you help me?" I almost pleaded. Not only could he help, but he said, "Follow me." And in his blue pickup truck the kind Gentleman led me through the back Streets to the exact building I needed. I didn't have time to get his name, but I Called out my window, "You were a Godsend." Indeed! At just the right time God did send an Angel disguised as a white haired man in a Pickup truck. The clock on my dashboard said, "10:30." God gets a bad rap because He
Judges the world, as though we Humans should be able to do whatever Makes us feel good. But in our own justice system we Loudly protest if a rapist gets a light Sentence or an innocent man is falsely Incarcerated. We express outrage. We demand justice. Why shouldn't a perfect holy God Demand the same? "Let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You judge the people righteously, And govern the nations on earth." (Psalm 67:4)
Seek His face, always.
Pray, always. Give thanks, always. Rejoice, always. Always? Yes, always. (Philippians 4:4 Psalm 105:4 II Thessalonians 5:17 Ephesians 5:20)
