I have a corresponding low.
Eventually my emotions will even out and I am
Able to return to a sense of stability and
Peace.
After a high I shouldn't be surprised if
I have a corresponding low. Eventually my emotions will even out and I am Able to return to a sense of stability and Peace.

A friend shared the quote on Facebook:
"Once you hit a certain age, you Become permanently unimpressed by a Lot of stuff." Amen to that! Stuff like flying, Staying up late to greet the new year, The opinions of movie stars, The promises of politicians, Health claims. But in my older years I've also become more Impressed by lots of little/big things. Stuff like fireflies, Flowers scattered along the edge of a Pond, The courage of afflicted ones and Caregivers, Coffee with a friend. (Thanks, Joy, for sharing.) Friend,
I've lost count of the health problems you've Endured, and each new one seems to be Worse than the last. I can't imagine your pain. I wish God would say, "Enough, already." But actually He has! In all that you're going through and in All that's ahead, may you discover that He is enough, and more. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness..." 11 Corinthians 12:9
A vast number of human beings in our
World imagine that they can live without God. But it's not true. If He didn't hold things together; If for the tiniest measurable moment God removed His "supreme super glue," our universe would be Yanked apart into oblivion. People can live without believing in God or Knowing Him. Lots of them do. But it is impossible to exist without Him. "He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." Colossians 1:7
When you entertain overnight guests for
Several days and host a dinner in their Honor it's hard to fit in a quiet time. And when you hug the family members Good-bye and your house is quiet again, You miss them, A lot. But you realize, too, how much you Missed your alone time with Jesus and You truly believe that He is as glad as You are to get back on track. The mother opened the unused notepad
Thinking it was blank inside. Instead, she found a message: "Love you." It had been written by her daughter who had Suddenly died of a heart attack months Earlier. My friend was stunned at the unexpected Love note and she tried to describe her Reaction. "It was painful joy," she told me through her Tears. Painful joy. Joyful pain. One word simply won't suffice to Describe the tangled emotions of Grief. It takes at least two.
My doctor and dentist want my feedback after
An appointment. When I talk to phone reps I'm asked to rate Their performance. And now even the office supply store bothers Me with an e-mail asking, "What did you think About your ink cartridge? How did you like your Dunkin' Donuts coffee?" Well, I'm not telling them. And if my opinion is so important, why don't My kids ask me for it? |
