I greeted a gal coming toward me.
The epidemic was on our minds.
"We need to be hopeful," I told her.
"Amen!" she responded.
But as I walked on I remembered
What my Bible study friend had
Shared, "Hope requires waiting."
If the jogger had been nearby I would
Have called out to her,
"But we must be patient.
We must be prepared to wait."
"But if we hope for what we do not
yet have, we wait for it patiently."
