The graduates filled the floor of the Arena. Peering down from the upper Level seats, I asked, "Can you Spot him? Is that Paul Min?" Seated with his parents and His sister, I couldn't be quite Sure. He had completed his master's Degree entirely online, and for The first time had actually set Foot on the campus of his Alma mater, Ohio University. He was one of a sea of students, Just a name among hundreds in The directory. All the onlookers seemed to be Fixated on their devices, but I Was fixated on my grandson, Remembering his milestones from Kindergarten to an advanced degree, Being proud of his accomplishments and Praying for his well being as he would Soon be moving miles and miles and Miles away. He was one among many. But in the heart of this grandma perched High above the mass of students, Paul Min was the sole graduate. |
