I'm beginning to see the hints. A few leaves, turning brown, are Crunching underfoot. And today, on my walk by the Woods I saw that the delicate Queen Anne's lace is being replaced by Fronds of goldenrod, a color suited for The new season that is pushing Summer aside. I've always been entranced by Autumn. I love the vibrant hues, and yet my Mood is muted by the fact that fall Will be so quickly replaced by winter. Too often, I skip ahead and miss the Snippets of beauty directly in my path. I'm learning to live in the moment. I'm finding pleasure in a simple Sprig of goldenrod that I plucked on my Morning walk and carried home with me. |
