Flip phone.
It failed again and again even after
I reinstalled the battery.
I was distressed.
What if I had an emergency?
Fortunately, a phone store was nearby.
When I walked in I was greeted by a
Lovely lady with a striking smile.
"How can I help?" she asked.
"My phone won't work," I told her.
But as soon as I handed it to her, it
Was immediately healed.
She placed a call with no problem.
I was amazed.
"You're an angel," I told her.
Actually, she was.
Angel was her name, and I learned it
Was an appropriate one.
She had been a long term
Caregiver for her mother who had
Been stricken by a fatal disease.
Her selflessness inspired me.
I commended her.
I pulled several tracts from my purse and
Asked which one appealed to her.
When she selected one I wrote my
Blog address on the back.
"I would like to write a poem about our
Meeting," I told her. "Would you mind if
I used your name?"
"Not at all," she replied.
Now I'm wondering.
Did my phone die so I would meet an
Angel named Angel?
I'm not certain.
But our encounter was definitely
Divine.
And when I checked my flip phone a
Moment ago, it was still working just fine.
