At our fall meeting for our Singles' group, our gals were going to Decorate pumpkins with markers. But I am not artistic. I asked my grandson for his advice. "Why not draw an animal" he suggested. "How would I do that?" "Like this." And he drew a simple one for me to copy, A lion with a fierce mouth. "Could you change the mouth to a happy One?" I asked. He did. At our meeting this morning we laughed as We worked, a delightful diversion from the Dire news, a beautiful gathering of friends. Two impartial staff ladies judged our Efforts and presented ribbons for the Most artistic, the scariest and the Happiest pumpkins. My lion with his pleasant expression won the "Happiest" category. I was delighted, not for my sake, but for that of My creative grandson. He deserves the ribbon. |
