The woman is so memorable that a
Book of the Bible is named after her.
As I listened to a teacher expound the
Queen's story, I tried to imagine her
Predicament.
She was the king's property.
With a flick of his finger her
Head could have been severed.
But because she was God's property above
All, He used her to save His people.
"For such a time as this," she was placed in her
Position in the palace.
And her brave words reverberate these many
Centuries later, "If I perish, I perish."
Whatever the consequences the Jewess was
Willing to put her life on the line.
As she closed the meeting our teacher asked us:
"Where has God placed you?
What role is He asking you to play?
Are you willing, whatever the cost, to obey?"
