Night and would be leaving soon.
Should we eat breakfast at home?
We decided to try the new cafe.
A friendly worker greeted us at our
Table and when we asked about his
Family we learned he has been a
Widower for three years.
"I still miss her," he told us.
We sympathized.
The man was from Chad.
"Our church has missionaries there," I
Told him.
He lit up.
Not only was he a believer, but he had
Written two books on the spiritual climate of
The country.
He also shared that he prays for the diners who
Come into the restaurant.
It was humbling to know that he might have
Unknowingly prayed for us.
Our brother was elated when I gave him a
Gospel bracelet and he was so grateful for our
Sweet fellowship that he sent three delectable
Pastries home with us, not inexpensive.
Our trio wished we could have adequately
Conveyed what his expression of love
Meant to us.
Our hugs and good wishes just didn't seem to
Be enough.
