I wasn't motivated to tackle the Task last year, but during this Covid 19 spring, when I've spent so Much time inside looking out, I Could no longer tolerate my dirty Windows. I borrowed my neighbor's tall Ladder and gathered my gear: An orange bucket from the garage, A bottle of ammonia, almost depleted, And newspaper to dry the panes, a Good reason to continue my Subscription. I had forgotten how pleasant it was to Wash the grime away on a breezy Sunny day. I had planned to do just a window or Two, but once I got started, I Couldn't stop, and I washed them All, inside and out. As I dumped bucket after bucket of Filthy water, I knew I was making Progress. It felt good. And now as I walk from room to Room viewing my world through Sparkling glass, I admire my Handiwork. And staying inside, at least for Today, doesn't seem quite so Bothersome. |
