Brain fog.
The images of a disturbing dream
And a sense of foreboding were
Clouding my logic, pulling me
Down.
Like I approach house cleaning, I
Began to organize my thoughts.
I swept away the remnants of the
Dream and the fear that gripped me.
I replaced the gloom with a fresh
Bible verse: "Let not your heart be
Troubled, neither let it be afraid." *
I prayed for peace.
I sang the words of a newer song I
Had learned in church: "Stronger
Than darkness, new every morn.
My sins they are many, His mercy is
More." **
Indeed, His mercies were stronger
Than brain fog this morning, and the
Uplifting song lingers as my day unfolds.
I find myself switching in my own
Words as I sing along.
"Stronger than darkness, new every morn,
My burdens are many,
My heartaches are many,
My problems are many, His mercy is
More."
