What can I say that's not already been Said on another Memorial Day? But why must I come up with Something new? It never gets old to say I miss My folks, My Min, My Jack. I recall their total devotion to Me and I thank God for intertwining Their lives with mine. I stand at attention as I hoist the flag on My patio. I honor my soldier who placed the Flag pole there, who served his Country and me. With a bird chorus surrounding me I hold my hand on my heart. I embrace the sorrow. I taste the pain. I hold tightly to the anguish for a Few moments and then let it drift Into the breeze. Simply remembering is my old Fashioned way of observing Memorial Day. |
