Accent, and in just a few moments my
Friend and I discovered she was from
Mexico and a widow like I am.
The woman was touched when we told
Her we would pray for her.
We did just that before we ate.
And, later, when I gave her a bracelet and
Explained the colored beads she beamed.
Over and over she said, "Thank you.
Thank you. You made my day."
When we were finished she gave
Each of us a hug.
I was humbled by the lady's overwhelming
Response to such a simple gesture.
I had been reticent to speak up, for it
Always takes courage.
But if I hadn't obeyed God's nudge we
Both would have missed the
Blessing.
