I had never met Barbara, but by the time the
Service was over I felt like I knew her.
Friends shared how she had affected
Their lives.
During her 58 years she had fostered
Over 40 teenage girls.
Two of them spoke.
I wept with them as they honored the
Woman who loved them uncondtionally.
"She had us working with her in the garden."
"I was closer to her than to my own mom."
"I'll never forget her."
"I miss her so much,"
"She taught me how to be a wife and
Mother."
Others lauded the lady for her prayer life,
Her love for Jesus,
Her community service.
"I want to have an impact in my neighborhood," Barbara
Always said when she moved to a new location.
Obviously, she did.
I went to the funeral to be a support for my
Friend.
But I was the one lifted up.
Her dear daughter ministered to me through the
Lives of the people she touched.
