She was our waitress, and as I
Always do, I asked if she had a
Prayer request.
"Yes, my dad has kidney disease.
He's been on dialysis for 8 years."
I shared how Jack had provided
In-home dialysis for his first wife for
Almost 3 years too.
We chatted whenever she stopped by
Our table.
I noticed that she was wearing
About 5 or 6 plastic bracelets.
Should I give her one of mine?
I hesitated.
I was waiting for the right moment.
It came when she brought our checks.
I asked if she would like to add
My bracelet to hers since I wear it
So I can give it away.
She was eager for me to tie
It to her wrist.
I quickly explained the colors and
Showed her the prayer on the
Back of the brochure.
"Have you ever heard this before?"
"No. Thank you for telling me."
Steph put the pamphlet in her apron pocket and
Said, "I'm so glad you were here.
You've really made my day."
The blessing works both ways.
Each time I am able to share a bracelet, the
Joy lingers.
