The landscape is barren. It's a downside of winter. If I didn't know any better, I would Think the trees were dead. But I barely notice the stark trunks and Bare branches because I know from the Past that loveliness lies ahead. It's true of people too. When sorrow sucks every bit of life out Of us, we must take the long view. We must remember hope and embrace Faith. Because we've seen His faithfulness in The past, we know that this Desolate season won't last. Beauty will rise from ashes. Birds will once more sing. Buds will turn to blossoms again. After winter, spring. |
