Neighbor who was picking up a
Prescription.
The minutes dragged on.
What was taking her so long?
An older lady driving a scooter
Passed in front of my car and
Unloaded her groceries in her
Trunk.
As she slowly walked by my
Window I lowered it and
Complimented her on her
Unusual hair do.
"Thanks," she responded.
I continued. "I like to pray for
People. Do you have a request?"
"Oh yes, I do! Just this morning I
Asked my pastor to pray for my
Grandson. He is always angry.
I cringe when he walks in the
Door. I fear for his future."
I sympathized.
The grandma told me his
Name which I jotted on a
Scrap of paper.
And I gave her two bracelets, one for
Her and the other for her grandson.
"Tell him I'm praying for him."
"I will," she said. "Thank you so much.
I know you were waiting in this
Spot just for me."
I heartily agreed with her.
And eventually I discovered that
My distraught neighbor was
Waiting at the wrong door.
