The snow finally came, not a
Storm or a blizzard but enough to
Cover the lawn and mound up on the
Bushes;
Enough to match my new winter mug and
Entice me to tug on my boots and
Tramp around the neighborhood forming
Footprints in the snow;
Enough for me to light my fireplace for the
First time this winter and pull my
Chair up close,
To savor a book and enjoy the ambiance so
Much that I linger and eat my supper in front of
The fire toasting my toes by the flames.
If no more snow falls this season,
Today was enough.
