Long enough for me to notice the
Lady waiting behind me.
The message on her shirt referred to
Will power.
"What takes the most will power for
You?" I asked.
"Trying to raise my child in this
Difficult culture," she answered.
She had lived in the states about
Four years and spoke with an accent.
"I understand," I told her.
"I am constantly in prayer for my
Grandkids."
At that point it was my turn to
Check out, and providentially,
Hers as well.
We reconnected as we headed to
The door.
We probed each other's worldviews.
The woman was convinced that
Inner peace can be obtained by
Meditation.
She urged me to peruse a
Website on the topic.
"I do meditate," I told her, but
"I meditate on Scripture," and
Urged her to check out my blog.
I gave her a bracelet, and she
Listened politely as I explained
The gospel.
Comparing our beliefs doesn't
Need to be threatening.
It's enlightening.
But first, we must know what
We believe.
(I did browse the meditation site.
Interesting, but not convincing.)
