To be first in line.
When we played "Follow the Leader" the
Student at the end couldn't wait for his
Turn to be in front.
It takes humility to follow the one in
Charge, especially when I think I know
Better.
Jesus told His disciples, "Follow Me." *
I'm His disciple.
Am I willing to obey?
Am I willing to trust Him in the dark?
Am I willing to be patient when I seem to
Come to a standstill?
Do I recognize that waiting is following too?
Do I say, "Against my better judgement, I will...?"
If I run ahead of my Leader like Peter did in the
Garden when he lopped off the man's ear,
I may regret my haste like he did.
I may need to beg Jesus to repair the
Damage.

"The Lord...leads the humble in what is right, and
teaches the humble His way." (Psalm 25:9)
