Visually impaired, I take her
Grocery shopping with me.
When I picked her up today she
Asked, "Could we go to Meijer's?"
"Sorry," I told her, "I have items I
Need to get at Walmart. Maybe next
Week."
As we were finishing our shopping,
I noticed a lady walk up to my
Friend and hand her a bill.
"I want you to have this," she said.
"It's for New Years."
And the woman scurried away.
At first I thought it was a $10.00 bill,
But as I looked more closely I told my
Friend, "It's a $100."
We were both skeptical.
I hadn't seen the denomination for
Such a long time, I thought it was a
Fake.
We held our breaths as I fed the bill
Into the checkout machine.
Joy!
It was genuine, and I collected the
Remaining cash.
"I'm in shock," my friend said.
"I don't know what to make of this."
"Well, for one thing, God is showing you
He is looking out for you," I told my
Grateful companion. "He gave you a
New Year's perk."
And I just couldn't help myself.
"Aren't you glad we came to
Walmart?"
