It was such a beautiful morning I pushed Myself to get moving so I could make it to Market Day. After I loaded my tote with sweet corn and Tomatoes I wheeled it down the Sidewalk delighted to find a spot on the Patio of the French restaurant. I was enjoying my coffee and hard roll when I noticed a lady searching for a table. "You can sit with me," I said, "I'm almost Finished." "My parents are with me too," she answered. "Great! There's plenty of space." As you might guess I didn't leave when my Coffee cup was empty. I discovered the elderly couple lived in a Familiar senior facility. "Do you know Dana and Shirley?" I asked. "They're our best friends." "Wow! My husband married them!" We laughed in amazement. Our visit lingered. The daughter went inside and came out With a pastry just for me, freshly baked and Luscious. We were becoming friends. Before I left I explained my gospel bracelet and Tied it to the older lady's wrist. "Some folks would call me a Jesus fanatic," I said, "but I call myself a Jesus follower because of How He changed my life." I gave them all a hug, but the dear Gentleman wasn't satisfied until he also Kissed me on the cheek. It was a tender moment for I had learned he is Dealing with dementia. As we finally said our good-byes the Four of us wholeheartedly agreed that Our unplanned meeting had been simply Divine. |
