I was getting ready to leave the Alfresco cafe when the server came to Clear my table. "How is your day going?" I asked the Teenager? "Pretty well," he responded, and since he Wasn't busy, we got acquainted. I had my notepad out and told him I Was writing poetry. He described a poem that he had written About colors. "I'll share something I wrote," I told him and Searched through the tracts in my purse to See which one I should give him. I settled on the one about Jack and how God Had delivered him from alcohol. It was the right one. "My mom and step dad drink a lot," my new Friend said. "We don't interact very much. Do you always talk to people like this?" "I do," I answered him, "It's because God changed Me too." "Will you be back?" he wondered. "I plan to be. I often come here on Saturday mornings." I told him I would pray for him, and he spelled Out his name which was a new one to me. I told him that I might even mention him in a poem. If he checks out my blog He'll discover I kept my Word, and he'll see that I plan to just keep talking To people just like him. |
