I read my Mother's Day cards when I Received them, and then displayed Them on my sideboard. A moment ago, I picked the cards up, one By one, and read the sentiments more Slowly, letting the love from my Loved ones sink in. Eventually I'll stash the cards in a Drawer, and months down the Road when I empty it, I'll enjoy the Messages once more. Recently, when I was thinning out my Old cards i found one from Jack that I had overlooked, one he had written when His mind was still clear. I wept as I read his sweet thoughts and Tucked it away in my box of cards to Keep. It's the beauty of a tender handwritten Note. The blessing lasts. |
