The blue recliner once sat in the Living room, but Danny and I Moved it to the bedroom. It's in a cozy spot by the Spacious windows. I've been resting in the chair while I recover, glad for the control that Allows me to find a comfortable Position. The automatic chair belonged to Sue. She lived in it month after month, Year after year as she battled ALS. It was her bed. Her family tells me Sue didn't Complain about her onerous condition. (And Danny didn't complain about Caring for his wife. They were both Committed and courageous.) In all her pictures Sue has the Biggest grin. I wonder how she really felt inside. I think about Danny's former spouse as I rest here waiting to get better. How was she able to endure for so Long knowing she would only get Worse? Only by God's grace. I'm thankful for the overstuffed blue Chair that Sue left behind and even More so for her legacy that lives on. |
