I was wrong.
Her name was Ildiko, and she was from
Hungary.
She was sitting outside in the balmy weather
Taking a break from her job in
The Convention Center.
I simply couldn't pass the lone lady without
Greeting her.
She was overjoyed to be noticed.
And she was delighted when I gave her a
Beaded bracelet.
She hadn't previously heard the
Gospel message.
"No, never," she said.
We were both glad I had shared the
Good news with her.
As we hugged each other good-by the
Tender moment stayed with me and I believe
With Ildiko as well.
It's why I carry bracelets in my purse.
