Christian life can be
Summed up in 5 words:
Love God-Love Your Neighbor
He did both.
A person can love his
Neighbor even though he
Doesn't love God.
But one can't genuinely love God
And not love his neighbor.

Love sees.
Love listens. Love does. It's a trilogy to embrace if I Want my life to count.
It was an old book that had been
Tucked away on my shelf for Years. I dusted it off, leafed through the Pages and found these words: "Love changes everything it touches it makes heavy burdens light, long hours short, ordinary faces beautiful, houses into homes, picnics into banquets, wilted daisies into bouquets, God into sacrifice, and sinners into saints." * The author's words gripped me, Convicted me. Is there anything more powerful than Love? * COME SHARE THE BEING by Bob Benson, p. 58 As my grandson and I were
Traveling home we stopped to get Gas. When we went inside the store to Purchase coffee and pop I saw a Police officer chatting with the Employees. I began to clap and said, "I applaud you." "Are you my cheerleader?" he asked. "Yes, I don't know how you do what you Do." "And you don't know what your Encouragement means. Thanks." Behind the cash register was a Lovely gal of color with long Fingernails painted blue. I asked her name. And then I gave her an air hug and Said, "Brielle, I spread love and not Hate. It's just a small thing I can do." "But it's important, she replied. "Thanks." As my grandson and I headed to the Car I was grateful that in this season of Unrest, I don't need to take sides. "I love your name," I told the lady as
We met in the aisle at the store. It was "Comfort." "It's what we all need right now." We smiled behind our masks. I noticed she was limping. "It's my hip. I'm having a replacement Next week." "I'll pray for you." "Thanks." Before moving on I told the dark Skinned woman, "I love you, sister. We need love not hate." "Yes! Yes!" I wish I could have hugged the lady With the soothing name. Before Covid 19, I would have. But even at a distance, Comfort and I bonded. My friend just lost her much loved dog.
She was weepy as she shared the News. It's hard to describe such grief to Someone who has never loved and Lost a pet. But for those of us who have also said Good-bye to a furry friend, there's no Need to try. |
